Comprehensive Skin Cancer Screening

Canadians will develop skin cancer in their lifetime.

1/6

Rates of skin cancer are rising despite being one of the most preventable types of cancer.

Screening with mole mapping creates a personalized record of your skin, allowing our team to compare and monitor moles, freckles, and other spots over time.

Not every mole that looks unusual is dangerous.

Mole mapping gives us better data, helping to:

Avoid unnecessary procedures that leave scars

Monitor suspicious lesions

Find and treat skin cancer in early stages

You should be screened for skin cancer if you have any of the following:

  • Atypical moles, such as irregular shape, colour or recently changed
  • A large number of moles or freckles
  • A personal or family history of skin cancer
  • A history of sunburns
  • Light or fair skin, eyes or hair (eg: red or blonde hair; blue, green or grey eyes)
  • Exposure to frequent or strong ultraviolet radiation including the sun, tanning beds or sun lamps
  • A medical condition or medication that increases your risk (eg: immunosuppressants, biologics)
